Barnard Castle School

The School has several alternative venues on offer. The Sixth Form Centre is a purpose built, state of the art conference centre.  It has its own entrance that opens up into a spacious and airy venue.  There are three meeting rooms, two of which can be incorporated in to one.  The rooms allow for a wide variety of configurations; such as a meeting room, board room or lecture room, they can cater for up to 60 people.  The central open plan area can cater for up 120 for a lecture using a drop down screen.

There is a mezzanine floor, with views across to Bowes Museum, with several work stations and PCs.  The centre has its own kitchen with 3 stations; a glass fronted fridge for bar service, as well as a zip boiler.  If required on site catering is available.  We also have extensive grounds and sports facilities, the latter includes a sports hall, an Astro turf, dance studio, pool and fitness suite.  We have a school hall that can be used for meetings, lectures or for reception events.  We also have the School’s wood panelled dining hall for events.  The hall and dining hall can be utilised together for larger events.
