This forthcoming full day conference will be delivered by Mike Askew. 

Mike Askew is an internationally renowned expert in Primary mathematics education who believes that all pupils can act as mathematicians, given rich, engaging and challenging problems to reason about.

The session offers the opportunity to attend a full day of professional development, looking in detail at:
·         What is a Big Idea?
·         What are some Big Ideas in Mathematics?
·         Planning and Teaching Mathematics with a Focus on Big Ideas.

This event is the launch pad for a series of Great North Maths Hub events aimed at moving towards and developing mastery, and ending with our Annual Teacher Conference on 28th June 2017. Details of further events will be released in the next few weeks, please keep an eye out for further information.
