Our May STEM Teach Meet is being held at Discovery School. These events provide the perfect opportunity for us to discuss how working together we can make a difference to closing the digital skills gap and equipping the next generation with the right skills for a career in STEM.

What can I expect?
An informal evening, including talks from both our host and other schools on what they're currently doing with STEM.
It will also be a chance for you to hear more about Tech for Life and our range of events for children right through to adults, including:

Support for Teachers
We have set up Tech for Teachers in the North East, unique industry-led computer science, coding and electronics CPD sessions. Each session has been developed by industry experts to help teachers understand the fundamentals of computing.

Community events
We hold a range of free events for young people age 4-14 years old and their families to help break down the barriers and make learning accessible and fun for all. Our regular events include monthly Coderdojo Saturday sessions, Maker parties and our Makers and Creators Programme for 14 - 18 year olds. We work with partners to deliver specific programmes and events in other areas and communities where digital skills training may not otherwise be easily accessible.

Where?
A big thank you to Discovery School for offering to host this month's STEM Teach Meet.
