Reinvigorating the ‘Wasted Years’: raising standards in KS3 English (Part 2) Next steps

23rd Jan 2017

(This event is aimed at secondary heads of English and their linked senior leaders. It is open to both those who attended ‘Part 1’ on 26 September 2016 and those who did not.)

Date: Monday 23 January
Time: 12:30pm – 4pm
Location: Boldon School, Boldon Colliery NE35 9DZ

The aim of this workshop-based conference is to further develop the strategies to raise standards in KS3 English, which colleagues identified and worked on after the September 2016 conference.

For those who were not able to join us in September, there will be opportunities to develop practical approaches to ensure that we build on pupils’ experience in KS2, so students get off to a flying start in English in Year 7.

You will be able to share ideas and reflect actively on what works and what needs developing. There will also be opportunities to develop enduring partnership links that focus on both transition and English in KS3.

The event will be facilitated by HMI from the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside Ofsted region.

This event is free to attend. To book your place, please email info@schoolsnortheast.com.
