Staff at your school are warmly invited to this event, which has been set up with wide support from the NECC, the NELEP, Founders for Schools, the BBC and a range of other partners. The aim is to provide quick and practical ways for schools to connect with businesses and engage them to support learning. The event is free for your staff to attend, although there is an upper limit on places.

The event takes place between 4.00 and 7.00 p.m. on May 10th at The Boiler Shop in the Stephenson Quarter in the centre of Newcastle – a stone’s throw from Central Station. The BBC will showcase some inspiring digital tools to help teachers understand the future of work; and teachers and business people will together be shown simple, free ways of creating meaningful encounters with employers for young people at school.

We know that students who have 4 student-employer encounters are 5 times less likely to become NEET and 3 times more likely to choose to study STEM subjects.

If your or your teachers are interested in attending, please respond to this email by registering for tickets here: https://pathwaystoindustry.eventbrite.co.uk or RSVPing to Charlotte Windebank at charlotte@firstfacetoface.co.uk by no later than 29th of April 2017.

We must stress that there is limited capacity so please respond with urgency.

We look forward to seeing you; and please get in touch if you require further information.
