The Royal Society and CBI invite you to a twilight session aimed at linking schools and colleges at primary and secondary level with local businesses to support STEM education.

Introducing the practical guide ‘Making education your business’ that was launched in summer

2016, the event will give teachers and businesses an opportunity to hear from inspirational partnerships that are already happening in the area, exemplifying the benefits to both in supporting STEM education through collaboration.

For schools and colleges, this will help you to:

• Support the provision of up-to-date careers information for young people;

• Support teachers in having access to relevant and real examples of STEM used in the real world and support in understanding those processes;

• Inspire students to consider STEM subjects as they move through education; and

• Help work towards activities that provide evidence towards the OFSTED assessment criteria about the Quality of teaching, learning and assessment.

It will also provide some valuable networking opportunities for teachers and businesses to forge new relationships and seek advice from STEM education professionals from a number of UK organisations.
