Keynote speakers:

Dr Margot Sunderland
Dr Margot Sunderland is a child psychotherapist with over 30 years experience, and is also an award-winning author of more than 20 books in the field of child mental health. Her current roles include: Director of Education and Training at The Centre for Child Mental Health, London; Honorary Visiting Fellow at London Metropolitan University; and Associate Member of the Royal College of Medicine.

Julia Bird
A UKCP registered psychotherapist and a founding director of Thrive, Julia is passionate about understanding how training adults in emotional development impacts on the behaviour and learning of young people. A former teacher, LEA and OFSTED inspector, her experience includes working with LEAs and schools to help them understand how children develop emotionally and socially. Her qualifications include: MSc Gestalt Psychotherapy GPTI; BEd (Hons); Cert and Dip in Counselling.

Clare Smith
As the Learning Programmes Manager at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums,
Clare has developed a number of high-profile learning programmes. She currently oversees the Central Learning Team, and this strand of work forms a part of their Major Partner Museums programme, funded by the Arts Council England, relating to children and young people.
