Develop Your People: Shape the Future Harnessing your talent through workforce development and Degree Apprenticeships

Degree Apprenticeships are a new Government Initiative, bringing together the best of higher and vocational training. From April 2017 all employers with a payroll of over £3 million will automatically pay an Apprenticeship Levy. Employers with a payroll bill under £3 million (such as SMEs) will not be subject to the levy and will be able to access funding to cover at least 90% of the costs of apprentice training.

Many public sector organisations will be paying the levy and reviewing their workforce development needs across all levels.  In addition, public sector organisations will have apprenticeship recruitment targets.  Northumbria University is a long established provider of work-related degree programmes recognised by industry and professional bodies nationally and internationally.  We would like to invite you along to this showcase event to introduce you to our range of Degree Apprenticeship programmes, to find out how we can help you develop your people and to help you understand what the Levy means for your organisation.
