Leading figures from the education and business worlds will be taking part in a high-level expert discussion hosted by law firm Ward Hadaway on Monday 5 December.

Ward Hadaway's expert Education Team invite you to this free, interactive panel event with special guests John Cridland, Sir Peter Vardy and Ian Kershaw to discuss the challenges and opportunities that multi academy trusts are facing right now.

This panel discussion is aimed at Chairs, CEOs, Executive Principals, Head Teachers and Accounting Officers at multi and single academy trusts and schools who are considering conversion or have an interest in how MATs operate.

We will be joined by John Cridland, former DG of the CBI and current Chairman of Transport for the North, Sir Peter Vardy, who was at the forefront of academisation, and Chief Executive of Northern Education Trust, Ian Kershaw, to contribute to a fully rounded and interactive debate, held under The Chatham House Rule.

This interactive panel event will be an ideal opportunity for you to share your experiences, opinions and insights with your peers. Our panel has been chosen to encourage debate from both the education and business worlds and we will cover a range of topical issues facing your organisation. With the importance of quality education outcomes now in sharper focus than ever before, we will look at:

• The advantages MATs can exploit
• The benefits and drawbacks of growth and consolidation
• The focus on career guidance in schools to help reduce the perceived skills gap
• The introduction of greater powers of pupil selection
