The first steps towards GDPR compliance are understanding your obligations, what your current processes are and identifying any gaps. Undertaking a data protection GDPR audit is essential to achieving compliance.
This workshop is designed to help you design and audit the compliance of the Data Protection GDPR processes and systems within your School. You will have the knowledge to be able to benchmark against the eight principal areas which are stipulated in the Data Protection GDPR guidelines and legislation:
1. Fairly and lawfully processed
2. Processed for specified purposes
3. Adequate, relevant and not excessive
4. Accurate and up-to-date
5. Not kept for longer than is necessary
6. Processed in line with individuals’ rights
7. Secure
8. Not transferred outside the European Economic Area without adequate protection
Workshop Content:
- 8 Data Protection Principles: Overview of the 8 principles
- GDPR Audit: Audit planning and risk assessment
- GDPR Audit approach: Gathering evidence, Audit visit, Draft and final reports
- GDPR Audit follow up and reporting: Audit follow up and follow up reporting
- Action plan: Data Protection GDPR Audit school action plan
Learning Objectives:
- To be aware of the Data Protection 8 Principles
- To assist you in developing an audit framework to assess the compliance of Data Protection GDPR within a School
- To understand the implications of not auditing Data Protection GDPR effectively in a School

Cost:
£250 + vat per delegate (5% discount on the overall cost for 3 or more delegates attending from the same school/Organisation)
